Solar Loan

Expanding its scope on green financing and environmental responsibility, the Centre launched the Solar Loan product in August 2017. The product is a collaboration between the Centre and the joint IFC-World Bank Lighting Africa Program, which enables clients access a range of affordable solar lighting products.

The Solar Loan is a clean energy initiative designed to accelerate access to renewable energy by providing solar-powered lighting products to Grooming clients. The loan for purchasing solar units is ₦200,000.00 and carries a 10% service charge. Repayment is structured in equal weekly installments over a 16-week loan term, or in equal monthly installments for a 4-month loan term.
