Grooming Centre is confirmed as the first Microfinance Institution (MFI) in Nigeria, first in Sub-Saharan Africa, first in Africa and 45th globally (Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe and South Asia) to be certified as fully Client Protection Principles (CPP) compliant since the inception of the CPP Certification programme in January 2013.

This certification validates the Centre’s strong commitment to protecting its clients, and is regarded as a wake-up-call to further intensify its efforts at ensuring that its products, services and systems are designed and implemented in the best interest of its clients to deliver triple bottom-line benefits (financial, social and “do no harm”).

Grooming Centre is proud of this achievement and dedicates it to the over 5,600,000 wonderful Nigerian women we have served since December 2006.

All leaders and secretaries of groups in Grooming Centre whose groups has completed two loan cycles will be participating in the raffle draw slated for five centres of Abuja, Ibadan, Osogbo, Abeokuta and Lagos.

The African Banker Awards released its shortlist of nominees for the 2011 competition. the winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony on the 23rd September in Washington DC, during the World Bank/IMF meetings.

Tiphaine Crenn, Senior Adviser, West Africa for Triple Jump Advisory Council will be visiting Grooming Centre, Lagos from the 4th of October, 2011. The purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with Grooming Centre’s activities and access areas of need of technical assistance by Grooming Centre with a view to agreeing on modalities, processes and timing.
